BPM Artists Concert
Please join us for our first BPM Studios Artists Concert! This concert will feature four groups of artists that have collaborated with BPM Studios:
Luce Duet: featuring cellists Wendy Ju and Charlotte Kube,
Cedar Quartet: featuring Sara Barbagallo (violin), Jessica Leigh (violin), Edmund Mantelli (viola) and Sarah Wang (cello),
Pianist Sean Kim, and
Saxophonist Justinn Lu with pianist Peter de Jager.
This will be a night full of diverse musical styles and performances, finishing with a group tribute for ANZAC Day. We hope to see you there!
Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy 2024
Founded in 2014, the Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy (APSA) has grown on to become one of the mainstays of summer camps in the Asia region and perhaps as one of the most international festivals in the region. BPM will assist in the celebratory documentation of APSA’s 10th Anniversary. Find more details here.
Live Concert | Sean Kim
Pianist Sean Kim from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music will be presenting a mixture of solo and chamber music repertoire from his graduation recitals. Performing the 1st and 2nd movements of Schumann's Piano Quintet alongside Ian Chiao (violin), Sujie Kim (violin), Lachie McKie (viola), and Alex Liu (cello), as well as Chopin's Cello Sonata, Sean will also be presenting three works for solo piano: Rachmaninoff's Piano Sonata No. 2, Janacek's "In The Mists", and Chopin's Impromptu No. 1.

Conversations | OSQ Concert
Ocean Saxophone Quartet presents their first 2024 concert titled “Conversations” alongside pianists Wendy (Xingyu) Chen and Ronan Apcar. The central work Conversations at a Yum Cha Restaurant, composed and arranged by Jordon He for saxophone quartet and piano, captures the Asian-Australian experience core to the identity of Ocean through nostalgic Chinese melodies and satirical dialogue. In combination with Toshio Mashima’s Cafe St Germain, Ocean sets the scene: a group of friends grabbing a meal together and talking about and sharing the music they have been playing.
