“Conversations” is a music video collaboration between BPM Studios, Ocean, and pianist Wendy Xingyu Chen. It features music by Asian-Australian composer Jordon He titled “Conversations at a Yum Cha Restaurant'' which integrates iconic Chinese melodies with comedic skit-like dialogue.
Home’ captures the journey of these two cellists— Charlotte, who grew up in regional towns around Australia, and Wendy, who grew up in outer-city Auckland. Both cellists met in Melbourne to pursue their common dream to be performing musicians. Their brand Luce (translating to ‘light’) is built on a passion to bring light to community and collaboration through the power of music.
Sean Kim is a Korean-Australian pianist currently pursuing a Master of Music Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Alongside his practice as a concert pianist and chamber musician, Sean has found a passion to connect with audiences through content creation.
Ash is a Sydney-based string quartet founded in 2018 at the Sydney Conservatorium. Recipients of the Westheimer Fellowship in 2021, the quartet has taken out first place in the chamber division at Verão Clássico 2019 (Lisbon) and was a finalist in the Queensland International Chamber Music Competition in the same year.
The Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy is an international festival hosted every year in Bangkok, Thailand. Founded by prolific saxophonists Dr. Tak-Chiu Wong (Hong Kong) and Dr. Leslie Wong (Singapore) alongside members of the Amigo Saxophone Collective, this is one of the largest musical events in the Asia-Pacific.
Air Music is a Taiwanese brand specialising in saxophone ligatures, neck straps, and weighted screws, founded by Professor Kenny Chia-Hsiu Tsai. The design of these products are driven by two key principles: seamless practicality and a sound quality that is personally tailored to each performer.
DUSK MOUTH 名 is a duo of composer-writer Xiaole Zhan (詹小乐) and violinist May Zeng. They create and perform socially engaged new music that blends poetry and sound. They have premiered music at the Brunswick Mechanics Institute, in the 2024 New Music Studio series, on 3MBS radio, and has been screened internationally in Berlin.
Aditya Ryan Bhat a is a Narrm/Melbourne-based musician working across improvised and notational, acoustic and electronic practices. Although a percussionist most of the time, Aditya is also involved in composing, curating, and writing about music, bringing a clear political focus to these activities. Fond of experimentation, Aditya has had the chance to work with leading new music figures/groups - including Anthony Braxton, ELISION Ensemble and Speak Percussion - and has co-founded contemporary collectives WHACKollective and Shrishti सृष्टि.
